Registration

Beginning 2023, you no longer need to register a Walk Event.

We ask that you consider and agree with our Intentions & Good-Faith Agreements. There is no longer an application or fee.

Please do not change the name of a Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Event. The name is always Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®. See Intentions & Good-Faith Agreements and Image & Identity Guidelines for more information. Do not name a Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Event anything like "Walk a Mile in Their Shoes," or "Walk Awhile in Their Shoes" or "A Walk in Their Shoes," etc. This specific event is designed to get men involved in ending men’s sexualized violence. Men are not the only perpetrators of sexualized violence. Women are not the only victims. This event focuses specifically on men ending men’s sexualized violence, especially toward women and fem presenting folx.

Please include this event within or as parts of other events focusing on ending sexualized violence. Let this be one “scene” or “chapter”. Trying to focus on everyone everywhere all the time can diminish the meaning and impact of a particular “character” with particular “characteristics” in a particular setting and story. We want learnings and perspective-taking for men in appreciating how different are the experiences of women and fem-presenting folx in the world. Our hope is those learnings and perspectives will encourage men to seek freedom from the negative effects of patriarchy - freedom for women and fem-presenting folx and freedom for themselves. Everyone suffers from the negative effects of patriarchy. They suffer differently, but everyone suffers.
